A cybersecurity leader inspiring the secure enablement of business and digital transformation.

The passion for cybersecurity is the curious mind intrinsically linked to finding creative, simple, elegant, and secure solutions to business problems.

As a cybersecurity leader, author, and researcher, James is passionate about developing and delivering effective programs. He focuses on assessing and understanding current maturity levels and capabilities and then creating short- and long-term strategies, goals, budgets, metrics, and roadmaps to progress toward higher maturity. The emphasis is on aligning the cybersecurity strategy with the business and technology strategy and integrating it with portfolio, program, and project management.

He has been more than happy to dive in and move past the initial assessments and work on continuous process improvement, business process re-engineering, consolidation of technology, and capability development throughout his tenure at companies. In addition, he is not afraid to get in and revamp control frameworks, policies, standards, guidelines, guides, and documentation surrounding an enterprise cybersecurity architecture and cybersecurity program.

James genuinely and sincerely enjoys mentoring as much as learning from others. He is more than happy to share knowledge with junior staff members and peers inside and outside of professional arenas. In addition, he is glad to have personnel go for a "ride-along" to show them what, why, and how he does his work.
